Charities boosted by over £1m in community foundation grants

CHARITIES received over £1 million from the Jersey Community Foundation this month.

The funds were distributed among charitable, non-profit and voluntary organisations by the JCF, an organisation which works to link donors with Island causes.

Among the organisations to have received funding are Community Savings, Grow Jersey, Jersey Action Against Rape and Kairos Arts.

The JCF’s Supporting The Supporters Fund has also awarded around £60,000 to 16 organisations that focus on safeguarding the wellbeing of volunteers and staff working for charitable, non-profit and voluntary sectors.

JCF chief executive Anna Terry said: “Distributing over £1 million this December highlights the critical role of JCF in supporting Jersey’s third sector.

“These grants address key community challenges and enable organisations to deliver essential services effectively.

“We’re grateful to our donors and the Government of Jersey for enabling this vital funding and to the applicants for their continued work in improving lives across various areas in Jersey.”
