A 34-YEAR-OLD man accused of falsely imprisoning and assaulting a woman has been remanded in custody until his trial in November next year.
Daniel Paul Wheeler is charged with common assault, grave and criminal assault and false imprisonment.
He is alleged to have held a pillow over the woman’s face, to have threatened to break her jaw and to have refused to let her out of his flat.
He denies the charges.
Mr Wheeler was denied bail during a hearing in the Royal Court on Friday 20 December. He is to stand trial on 3 November.
The Bailiff, Sir Timothy Le Cocq, was presiding yesterday while Jurats Dulake and Le Heuzé were sitting.
