A 25-YEAR-OLD man has admitted attacking another man last Friday night – just two months after attacking him for the first time.

Samuel Smith was on probation for three other assaults, all carried out against the same victim.

The Magistrate’s Court heard that a six-month probation order for the earlier three assaults had been imposed on 7 October, with Smith two months into that order when he breached it.

Relief Magistrate David Le Cornu ordered a pre-sentence report ahead of sentencing on 16 January and refused to release him on bail, saying: “It appears that probation is not working for you, and it is very likely that you are facing a custodial sentence.”
