JERSEY Airport is expected to be “extra busy” today after most weekend flights were cancelled due to Storm Darragh.

The storm brought severe gale-force 9 winds to the Island on Saturday, with a maximum gust of 76mph recorded at St Catherine’s and strong winds continuing to disrupt travel on Sunday.

Several flights have been rescheduled to Monday.

Jersey Airport has advised passengers to get to departures, which will be “extra busy”, two hours beforehand to allow time for check in and security.
