A RESTAURANT on Jersey’s west coast has been named as one of the world’s best – for the second time.
Ocean Restaurant at The Atlantic Hotel in St Brelade’s has been recognised in the prestigious La Liste, which ranks the top 1,000 dining destinations around the globe.
Listed as a “regional gastronomic landmark”, the restaurant is the only eatery in Jersey to feature. It scored 81 out of 100, a two-point increase on its score last year.
La Liste is based on thousands of reviews, online ratings, guidebooks and critics’ reviews.
The team at The Atlantic Hotel work under executive chef Will Holland and head chef Adam Braithwaite.
Mr Holland said: “It is incredibly rewarding to see our efforts acknowledged by La Liste and to achieve a higher score this year. It’s truly overwhelming to think we are one of the top 1,000 restaurants in the world.
“Being named a regional gastronomic landmark is an honour that reflects the passion and creativity of our team.” The hotel’s owner and managing director, Patrick Burke, said: “Seeing Ocean Restaurant rise in La Liste’s rankings is testament to the exceptional dedication and talent of our team.
“This accolade reinforces Jersey’s growing reputation as a leading destination for food tourism, and we are honoured to represent the Island on the global culinary stage.”
