REGISTRATION for the 2025 Hospice 2 Hospice Half Marathon is now open.
This year’s event raised over £60,000, with more than 750 runners taking to the roads between the Hospice shop in St Ouen and Jersey Hospice Care in Mont Cochon.
The charity is hoping that the fifth edition of the event, which is due to take place on Sunday 23 March, will cross the £200,000 fundraising mark, with added events planned.
A new, shorter individual 10km route will be available, which will take runners along the second 10km section of the full half-marathon and relay route.
Corporate rivals will also have the chance to get involved in a new four-person relay race, fighting it out for the EY Corporate Cup, with professional services firm EY sponsoring the race for the third time.
With almost 150 runners having signed up already following this year’s event, organisers are hoping for another record-breaking year.
Funds raised from the run will support the palliative care charity’s work, which costs around £16,500 a day.
Event organiser Loraine Fulton said: “The Hospice 2 Hospice Half Marathon started as a way to help others achieve their running goals while I was doing my own fundraising for the London Marathon.
“It has now turned into a fantastic event that’s getting bigger and better every year.
“There’s something for everyone, and the route is a great one for anyone attempting their first half-marathon distance.”
The course is officially measured and fully licensed by England Athletics and will be chip-timed, with results published to The Power of 10 for all competition runners.
Francis Malaspina, a partner at EY, said: “We are once again proud to be sponsoring an event that raises important funds for such a vital charity in our local community.
“This year’s event was a huge success and we’re looking forward to the new festival feel at the finish line to thank everyone for their efforts.”
Corporate teams will need to be made up of people from the same company, and participants will need to state that they are entering as a corporate team on the registration form.
