A MAN accused of groping a teenage girl at last year’s Portuguese Food Festival has been found not guilty of sexual touching without consent.
During a two-day trial in the Magistrate’s Court, the teenager alleged that 41-year-old Jose Carlos Figueira Mendes had pulled her towards him by her waist and groped her buttocks during the event in the People’s Park.
But yesterday afternoon Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke found Mr Mendes not guilty of the charge.
