LIBERTYBUS has introduced two new routes as part of its autumn and winter timetable.

The bus operator said that Route 12 would be the “first direct link” between St Brelade’s Bay and the Airport. The service will run six days a week and include a stop-off at the Enid Quenault Health Centre.

And the transport firm said that following “successful” summer trials, Route 30 will become a circular connection to Ransoms and St Martin via Five Oaks and Wellington Hill.

The winter timetable – which starts today – will see additional evening and Sunday services compared to last year across a range of existing routes including Route 1A and Route 2 to Gorey Pier while Route 4A to Trinity will see increased late-night services on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Following customer feedback, LibertyBus have also reintroduced Route 23 to Trinity every weekday.

Commenting on the new schedule, LibertyBus director Kevin Hart, said: “This is the most comprehensive winter timetable we have delivered, offering more frequent routes and more Sunday and evening journeys than ever before.

“We continue to work with our customers and listen to their feedback so we can continually develop the service. Whilst the winter service is only just about to begin, the work will start on the spring/summer timetable very shortly, so we welcome any feedback.”

A launch event is due to be held today, Monday 30 September, at Liberation Station between 10am and 2pm at which customers will have the chance to win discounted monthly passes.
