A TRINITY mansion that was previously on the market for a record £40 million has been sold for an undisclosed price.
While the nine-bedroom Maison de la Vallette in Trinity is now off the market, mystery surrounds the identity of its new owners and the exact price paid.
Built in 2014 and renovated in 2019, the property went on sale for £39.9m in September 2021 and last year the asking price was reduced to £32m, which still exceeded the record set when Eden House in St Brelade was sold for £31m three years ago.
UK estate agents Knight Frank confirmed the sale but declined to comment on the price tag when approached by the JEP.
In a sales brochure, Maison de la Vallette was described as a “neo-classical-inspired property set in beautiful tranquil country surroundings” and “one of the most important private estates in Jersey”.
The brochure stated that the property sat in the centre of grounds, which extended across 18 acres, featuring two small lakes and a long, tree-lined driveway.
The principal property is 21,000sq-ft and includes nine bedrooms, 14 bathrooms and 12 reception rooms.
There is also a separate building for staff, a 4,000sq-ft stables, paddocks, ponds and private woodland, while the property also features a wine store, cinema room, gym, swimming pool, a large games room, an office suite and an orangery.
