A WOMAN who punched a neighbour in the face during an argument has been given a binding-over order – and has had her existing probation order extended.

The Magistrate’s Court heard that 40-year-old Michelle Bernice Ahier was arguing with the woman at her front door on 21 July.

Legal adviser Harrison Gollop, prosecuting, said the neighbour went to close the front door as Ahier’s foot was in the doorway, and Ahier punched her in the face.

Ahier admitted the offence and Advocate Chris Baglin, defending, said; “She would like to extend an apology.”

The court head that Ahier was already subject to a probation order imposed in March, for theft.

Relief Magistrate David Le Cornu extended it until 25 March next year and also imposed a binding-over order to run until the same date.

He told Ahier: “Should you come back to the court for any other matter you will be in breach of two orders, and the court may not take such a lenient approach.”
