A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a member of security was punched in the back of the head and injured outside the entrance to the Portuguese Food Fair.
The States police are appealing for information about the incident, which took place at around 7pm on Saturday in People’s Park.
In a statement, the police said: “During the assault the staff member was punched to the back of the head and nose leading to them sustaining a minor injury.
“The suspect, a male, was subsequently arrested for assault and has since been released while police continue to investigate.”
