ONE of the more unique creatures to have visited Jersey’s waters was spotted off the Island’s north coast recently…
A sunfish, which has a distinctive flat and circular shape, was seen by Maxime Bouten near Bonne Nuit.

An adult sunfish can reach three metres in length.
Feeding mostly on jellyfish, they tend to appear in local waters around June or July.
