THOUSANDS of Islanders face paying a £300 late fee after missing the deadline to file their tax returns online.
It is estimated that around 4,000 returns have not yet been filed.
Richard Summersgill, Comptroller of Revenue, thanked those Islanders who had filed their tax returns by the 31 May paper deadline and 31 July online deadline.
The Treasury has urged Islanders to “act quickly” to avoid additional late-filing charges, which will be applied in the coming months.
