TOURISTS and Islanders are being encouraged to explore Jersey’s landscapes and historical sites by bus.

LibertyBus has teamed up with UK-based travel company Great Scenic Journeys to promote the Island’s attractions.

The partnership aims to boost tourism and reduce the need for car rentals by highlighting bus travel options to destinations such as Gorey Pier, Jersey Zoo and St Brelade’s Bay.

Great Scenic Journeys aims to promote and accredit scenic transport routes across the UK and beyond and will now feature several of Jersey’s on its website.

LibertyBus director Kevin Hart said: “Partnering with Great Scenic Journeys allows us to further our commitment to providing exceptional travel experiences while promoting the natural beauty of Jersey.

“We are excited to offer our customers even more opportunities to explore the Island’s unique landscapes including the glorious beaches, visitor attractions and incredible historical landmarks.”

Great Scenic Journeys managing director Alex Warner said: “We believe this partnership will encourage more people to experience all that Jersey has to offer in an environmentally friendly way.”
