THE Chief Minister has condemned the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump.

At the Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, one spectator died and three others were injured.

The former President told crowds he had been shot in the ear.

Deputy Lyndon Farnham has joined other world leaders in condemning the act and released a statement on social media this morning, saying: “Shocked to learn the reprehensible act of violence against former President Trump.

“Violence has no place in any society, especially when it challenges the fundamental values of democracy and civil discourse.

“My thoughts are with the victims and their families and very much hope we see peace and unity in the aftermath of this terrible act.”

President Joe Biden also released a statement in response to the “sick” violence.
