THE cordon surrounding a house which was badly damaged in an explosion last week has been scaled back.
Two parents and two children were rescued by firefighters following a blast at their home in Mont Pinel, St Saviour, last Wednesday night.
The two children, aged two and five, escaped injury, but their parents, who were found buried under rubble, were yesterday still being treated in hospital.
In an update yesterday, the government said that the cordon has now been reduced to cover only the affected row of properties.
Residents from Douro Court, who had been displaced, are now able to return to their homes.
The four properties still inside the cordon remain under States of Jersey Fire and Rescue Service management, as stabilisation works continue.
Those families continue to be supported by the government.
An investigation into the cause of the explosion is under way.
