ISLANDERS yet to file their paper tax returns are being reminded that they have until Friday to do so.

Comptroller of revenue Richard Summersgill also pointed out that if the paper deadline of 31 May is missed, Islanders can still file online until 31 July to avoid being penalised.

He added: “I encourage online filing due to its convenience and user-friendly features, such as being able to save progress, a confirmation of receipt, a copy of the completed return and a history of all submitted forms.

“If anyone is having difficulty with their tax return, please ask for help before the deadline. We can’t complete returns for people, but we are here to help with any technical tax questions.”

Those wishing to file their tax return online can find information on how to do so here.
