King Charles to continue National Trust for Jersey patronage

King Charles III “has been a strong supporter of the trust’s work”

KING Charles will continue to be patron of the National Trust for Jersey.

The charity announced the news, following a review of patronages by Buckingham Palace.

A spokesperson for the trust said: “We are delighted that His Majesty has chosen to continue his patronage of the National Trust for Jersey.

“His Majesty has been a strong supporter of the trust’s work, and during his most recent visit to Jersey he officially opened our Georgian Town House at 16 New Street. The King has fought fiercely to defend both built and intangible heritage and is a powerful advocate for the protection of our natural environment and for conservation.

“His patronage is the finest endorsement of all the aims and endeavours of the trust and is a fitting tribute to the hard work of our team and dedication of our members.”

King Charles has been patron of the National Trust for Jersey since 2007.
