New Hospital Review Panel constituted

L-R: Deputies Alex Curtis, Jonathan Renouf, Steve Ahier and Karen Wilson (38063608)

A NEW Hospital Review Panel has been formed to scrutinise the progress of the government’s New Healthcare Facilities programme.

The panel is chaired by former Environment Minister Deputy Jonathan Renouf, with Deputy Steve Ahier as vice-chair, alongside former Health Minister Deputy Karen Wilson and Deputy Alex Curtis.

The group will continue the work of the previous “Future Hospital Review Panel”, which was chaired by Deputy Sam Mézec before the change in government earlier this year.

Its initial focus will centre around the financing, rationale and governance of the hospital project, with a detailed work programme and terms of reference to be developed.

Deputy Renouf said: “The New Hospital Facilities Programme is a project of vital significance for all Islanders and so as more detailed proposals are brought forward it is incredibly important that they are scrutinised thoroughly and effectively.

“We all share a desire for the best possible outcomes, delivered in as cost-effective way as possible, and as a panel we aim to work with all stakeholders to help achieve our shared goals.”
