Three oil spills in St Helier prompt police warning to drive with caution

OFFICIALS were dealing with three oil spills in St Helier earlier this evening, according to States police.

At around 6pm on Saturday, the force posted on social media asking Islanders to drive with caution in the areas affected.

These included Gloucester Street onto the Avenue eastbound through the underpass and tunnel, from the area of Springfield towards Rouge Bouillon, and from the area of Springfield around towards Trinity Hill.

The statement added that members of the Infrastructure and Environment department were “aware and dealing” with the situation.
