WINE drinkers have reason to raise a toast after the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer announced it would be expanding to Jersey.
Majestic Jersey will open in the former Sports Direct shop on Queen’s Road on Tuesday 30 April.
The shop will stock 1,200 wines.
Majestic chief executive John Colley said that the company had had its “eyes on Jersey for a number of years as part of our growth plans”.
He called expanding outside of the UK an “incredibly exciting milestone”.
