BOMB disposal experts blew up an unexploded shell found on Jersey’s east coast over the Easter weekend.

The explosive was found by a member of the public and disposed of by the bomb disposal team.

An Islander who lives nearby, Shell Doofer, said on Facebook: “We felt and heard it! It reverberated throughout the house!”

The Coastguard reminded Islanders that if they found unexploded ordnance, they should stay clear of it, not touch it, and report it to the Coastguard on 447705 straight away. They can also call the States police on 612612.
