A NEW curriculum for the Jersey Youth Service has been launched by the Assistant Children’s Minister.
Deputy Malcolm Ferey was at a launch event for the curriculum recently along with the JYS team.
The interactive curriculum consists of seven areas, and aims to foster creativity, critical thinking and personal development, to ensure that young Islanders are well-equipped for their futures.
Nathan Le Mottée, team manager at Jersey Youth Service, said: “I’m delighted to see our new curriculum launched as it is the culmination of two years’ work across the team. This significant milestone reflects our commitment to empowering the young people of Jersey with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world.”
The launch included workshops, presentations, activities and stories from young people, alongside a speech by Deputy Ferey.
The JYS team were joined by several partner agencies, including the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner, the Safeguarding Partnership Board, Eco Active, Mind Jersey and Jersey Heritage.
