A MAJOR search and rescue operation was launched on Monday evening following unconfirmed reports that a man had entered the sea.

An RNLI vessel, the Fire and Rescue Service’s inshore boat and an Air Rescue Channel Islands drone scoured St Aubin’s Bay after a member of the public reported seeing a man walk into the water while clothed at about 7.45pm.
