Man accused of Dean and Charlie Lowe 'hit-and-run' deaths appears in court

A MAN accused of causing the deaths of a father and son in a suspected hit-and-run has appeared in court.

Dylan John Pounds (29) allegedly caused the deaths of 48-year-old Dean Lowe and his 11-year-old son Charlie in a collision on Rue de Fauvic in Grouville on 5 August last year.

Mr Pounds faces two charges of causing death by dangerous driving, as well as failing to stop and report an accident, using a mobile phone while driving and possessing cannabis.

He also faces unrelated charges of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine.

Mr Pounds was released on bail following a hearing in the Magistrate’s Court and is due to return to court on 12 April.
