Man to appear in court on attempted murder charge following Morrisons 'stabbing'

A 55-YEAR-OLD man was due to appear in court today in connection with an alleged stabbing in a Morrisons shop last year.

Trevor Robert John Green faces charges of attempted murder and grave and criminal assault after a shop worker in the Castle Quay branch of the supermarket chain was allegedly stabbed multiple times on Saturday 18 November.

He first appeared in the Magistrate’s Court two days after the incident, and was today due to enter pleas to the charges in the Royal Court.

The 34-year-old alleged victim was initially treated in the General Hospital before being transferred to Southampton Hospital.

Mr Green is currently remanded in custody.
