JERSEY Fire and Rescue Service are on the lookout for empty properties that its firefighters can use for “essential” breathing apparatus training.

In a social media post, the Fire Service asked owners or developers of vacant properties to contact them if interested.

JFRS said: “Regular training for all our firefighters is essential to make sure they keep up their knowledge and skills so that if you need them, they are ready!”

The properties would be used for breathing apparatus training – with both domestic and commercial buildings deemed suitable.

Property owners can contact s.admin@gov.je for more information.
