POTENTIAL snow showers this evening could bring another light dusting to the Island.
Below-average January temperatures are meanwhile forecast to persist into later on Thursday.
Forecaster Adrienne Le Maistre told the JEP that there was a “50/50” chance of snow this afternoon and in the early evening, with some showers moving in from the east of Normandy.
She added: “The flow will change very slightly during the course of tomorrow, with winds starting to move away from straight easterly from the past few days back to north-easterly, bringing with it some higher temperatures.
“This will be the last very cold night, but we’re still going to be seeing below average mid-January temperatures later this week of up to 6°C.”
A yellow ice warning in still in force for Islanders, with warnings of ground temperatures below zero and icy patches throughout tonight and into Thursday morning.
Drivers are still being urged to take care on the roads due to icy conditions.
