NOT many Christmas do’s get interrupted by a rescue mission, but RNLI volunteers were in the middle of their festivities yesterday when they were called out on a shout.
Posting on Facebook, the organisation said: “Yesterday’s festive navigation exercise was briefly interrupted as the St Helier all-weather lifeboat was called to aid a fishing vessel.”
The post featured pictures of the volunteers on a boat in their best Santa hats and festive glasses – and then in helmets, getting the fishing boat out of trouble.
