Witness appeal after van driver is assaulted in St Helier

A MAN allegedly grabbed a van driver by the neck and struck his van during an incident in St Helier.

The States police say the disturbance happened while the vehicle was parked on Pierson Road, near Pets Paradise, at about 7.20am on Friday 24 November.

The van was damaged and the driver, who was not in the vehicle when he was assaulted, was “shaken up by the ordeal”, the force said.

A man was interviewed by the police before being released while investigations continue.
