A JERSEY-BOUND aircraft turned back to its departure point in the north of England yesterday after suffering a technical issue.
The easyJet flight was diverted back to Manchester at around 8am after reaching the south coast of England.
A spokesperson for the airline said: “The captain performed a routine landing in line with standard operating procedures – all passengers disembarked normally and a replacement aircraft and crew was arranged to continue the journey to Jersey.”
The replacement flight landed at Jersey Airport at 1.48pm.
