Man given two-month jail sentence for causing unnecessary suffering to cat

A 25-YEAR-OLD man who caused unnecessary suffering to a cat has been jailed for two months.

Jean Luc Pinel pleaded guilty to the offence in the Magistrate’s Court in August.

Alongside his prison sentence, Pinel was banned from keeping or caring for an animal for five years.

Legal adviser Samantha Morris was prosecuting, with Advocate Chris Baglin defending.
