A 22-YEAR-OLD man who punched and kicked people outside St James’ Wine Bar has been fined £2,400.
Jacob Joseph Brown was caught on CCTV lashing out at members of the public and targeting one man in particular at 2am on 29 April, the Magistrate’s Court heard.
He pleaded guilty to common assault and acting in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace.
Advocate Heidi Heath, defending, said: ‘This is a young man who is genuinely remorseful and embarrassed.’
The Magistrate, Bridget Shaw, took into account his lack of previous convictions and early guilty plea and imposed fines of £1,200 for each offence.
She allowed him to pay at the rate of £100 per month.
