A FRENCH Navy helicopter is continuing to search for a man who vanished last week.
Richard Romeril (48) was last seen on Friday morning.
In an update released on Tuesday, the police said that after leaving his home Mr Romeril was seen on CCTV in town, where he purchased a green tent, a black and blue sleeping bag, a grey Eurohike rucksack and a blue foam sleeping mat from Blacks in King Street.
He was seen again on CCTV at B&Q buying an orange bucket and a grey tarpaulin at around 9.45am on Friday morning.
His vehicle, a black Kia Sportage, was located at Noirmont Point at around 2pm on Friday.
