JERSEY Met has issued a thunderstorm warning for Thursday morning.
The orange warning – the second-highest level of alert – states that scattered storms are expected to be over or very close to the Island.

On Wednesday afternoon, the UK Met Office warned that thunderstorms could hit the Channel Islands overnight.
In a tweet, the weather agency said: ‘If you’re travelling across the Channel over the next 24 hours, be aware that some intense thunderstorms could disrupt any crossings.
