TWO Jersey hip-hop producers have been featured on world-famous rapper 50 Cent’s website.
Dirty Needlz & Bean Lebouc’s debut mixtape – The Ol’ Dirty Beanz Beat Tape – has been described as a ‘chilled, 90s throwback’ on the site.
Known professionally as 50 Cent, Curtis James Jackson III is a rapper, actor and businessman who has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards, including a Grammy.
After releasing their ten-track instrumental collection on Carolina-based indie label DeckHead Records, the Jersey duo’s music was picked up a day later by the website which 50 Cent founded.
The two artists were inspired to create a ‘love letter to the roots of hip-hop’, with influences from a range of sources.
In a post about their release, Dirty Needlz & Bean Lebouc called it a ‘tasteful collection of landmark samples and loops’, with ‘basslines that move perfectly with the melodies’.
