A CBD shop will soon be moving to bigger premises in town – taking over the home of an Island fashion retailer.

Bailiwick Botanicals will be opening at 1 Queen Street, home to Roulette Clothing for a number of years.

The Guernsey-based business was founded in April 2021, and expanded into Jersey at the end of last year with a shop in Market Street.

From its current store, Bailiwick Botanicals sells a range of cannabidiol (CBD) and hardware products. Cannabidiol is an active ingredient in cannabis that is derived from the hemp plant.

The company says its goal is ‘bringing education and quality products to the medicinal cannabis community in the Channel Islands’.

Rebecca Tucker, of Bailiwick Botanicals, said: ‘Since opening at the end of last year, it’s become clear that, in order to better serve our current and potential customers, we need to move to a larger location. By doing so we’ll be able to stock an even more diverse range of CBD and hardware products for our customers to choose from.’

There are currently three Bailiwick Botanicals stores in the Channel Islands, which the firm said generated £700,000 in revenue last year. They are targeting revenue in excess of £1 million for 2023 by further expanding in Guernsey and Jersey. There are also established sales outlets in Alderney and Sark.
