A FARM shop which first opened its doors in 1971 has closed.
Lucas Bros Farm Shop, at the bottom of La Haule Hill in St Brelade, sold a wide range of produce, including flowers.
For many years, the family-owned business grew vegetables in the prominent field opposite La Haule Farm, which became known for its neat rows of salads, cauliflowers and other crops.
However, this field has not been used by the farm for several years.
A note at the farm shop saying it is closed was posted last week.
The business also ran an internet and home delivery business and, at one stage, opened a shop in Liberty Wharf.
On Friday, the Royal Court ordered La Haule Farm Ltd to pay the Treasurer of the States £86,940.67 in respect of non-payment of Social Security contributions.
