A MOTORIST arrested following a ‘high speed’ crash on Queen’s Road has been released pending further investigations.
A black Toyota Yaris and a silver BMW collided at the bottom of the hill at about 10pm on Sunday. The Yaris driver had to be cut out of the car by firefighters and was taken to hospital, where he remained in a stable condition yesterday.
The 38-year-old driver of the BMW, who suffered minor injuries, was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop and report an accident and drink-driving.
