ANOTHER C-17 Globemaster landed at Jersey Airport on Friday afternoon.
It follows the arrival of two US Air Force C-17s yesterday – one which landed in the morning and departed late afternoon and another which landed in the evening took off a few hours later.
Yesterday’s aircraft were sent to the Island to collect search equipment to help in the recovery of the Titan sub.
The kit is owned by Channel Islands-based company Magellan.
The first C-17 to land yesterday left without the kit following a glitch during loading which resulted in the crew running out of flying hours.
The US Coastguard yesterday confirmed that the tail cone of the deep-sea submersible had been discovered around 1,600 ft from the bow of the Titanic wreckage.
Rear Admiral John Mauger said further debris was also found that was ‘consistent with a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber’.
Five people, including three Britons, died in the tragedy.
