A WOMAN remains in intensive care following a serious car crash, which left one vehicle destroyed by fire, on Tuesday afternoon.
The 67-year-old was taken to hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.
Thick plumes of black smoke could be seen as flames reached 15ft high following the collision.
The incident happened on St Martin’s Main Road between Five Oaks and Maufant at around 3pm and the road remained closed for more than six hours. The crash occurred at the junction with Rue des Friquettes and Rue des Pigneaux.
Both the black Fiat Panda and blue Mini Cooper involved in the crash caught fire.
The male driver of the Mini and his children were taken to the Emergency Department, but later discharged.
