DOMINO’S has submitted plans to open a pizza takeaway in St Brelade.
The company wants to convert the Common Ground coffee shop at Red Houses into a second branch to enable it to deliver to the west of the Island – an area not covered by its St Helier restaurant.
The supporting documents state: ‘There is a distinct lack of takeaway outlets in close proximity to the west of the island.’
It added that ‘there is considered a demonstrable market need to service the west of the Island, providing similar facilities in Les Quennevais to that provided in St Helier’.
A decision is expected later this month.
