A PLAN submitted by the parish of St Brelade to refurbish the toilets at the Elephant Park and create a new path through the play area will be considered this week.
The Planning Committee will decide if an application for the site in Petite Route des Mielles should be approved or refused.
The recommendation from the Planning Department is for acceptance.
The bid for development, which includes creating two disabled parking spaces and extending the decking in front of the café, is one of a number to be decided by the committee at its monthly meeting on Thursday.
Other applications include building a five-bed home at the end of a private lane to the east of Route de Noirmont in St Brelade.
If approved – as is recommended by the assigned planning officer – the house would be built in the garden of Le Chalet, which is the last property in a line of detached dwellings. A previous application was refused by the committee last October.
Also before the committee on Thursday, among other applications, is a bid to build an extension, pergola, garage and pool house at Beau Coin in Rue de la Prairie in St Mary (officer recommendation: refusal); and constructing a first-floor extension to a property called Troika, which is Claremont Avenue in St Saviour (officer recommendation: refusal).
The public meeting will be held at St Paul’s Centre, beginning at 9.30am.
