ST Patrick’s Day is to be celebrated in town with a weekend of festivities.
The Parish of St Helier has announced the return of St Patrick’s Festival this year, which is to take place from Friday 17 March to Sunday 19 March in Parade Gardens.
Last year’s celebration included a large marquee, Irish dancing, Gaelic football and a screening of one of Ireland’s Six Nations matches.
Town centre and events manager Connor Burgher said: ‘I’m really pleased that we’re able to bring back this event for the second time, and I hope we’re able to build on last year’s success with something for all the family.’
The parish said a full schedule and details would be released in due course.
