A HIGH tide warning has been issued by Jersey Met – with fears that some flooding may occur.

The wind combined with the 11.9 metre high tide on Wednesday is at 7.57am is expected to lead to waves breaking over the sea walls, leaving water and debris on the roads along the Island’s south coast which may cause some rush hour traffic disruption.

Jersey Met has issued the orange tide warning – the second highest warning – and has said that ‘some flooding may occur’.

In the majority of cases, most of the water and debris will come over the walls within an hour either side of high tide.
