THE ex-private secretary of former chief minister John Le Fondré has been acquitted of a series of criminal offences.

The Royal Courtdecided that Timothy David Nicolle (31) committed offences of grave and criminal assault, possession of an offensive weapon, breaking and entering and malicious damage.

But they accepted the evidence of two medical experts that he was suffering from a mental disorder so should not be held criminally responsible for the crimes.

He was acquitted on all counts and discharged.

The incidents took place at different properties on 29 November 2020.
