A HOMEOWNER has been praised for their quick actions after a fire broke out in a bedroom.
Firefighters were called out at about 3pm on Tuesday following reports of a blaze at a property on Trinity Hill.
Eight firefighters in two engines arrived on the scene and were met with smoke pouring out from a bedroom above a garage.
They quickly brought the fire – which was in a cupboard – under control and cleared the room of smoke.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service said they would like ‘to commend the swift actions by the property owner to get out and call 999’.
