LES Quennevais Sports Centre has partially reopened after suffering roof damage during Monday morning’s storm.
Roof panels were torn off as the Island was battered by severe-gale-force winds which brought down dozens of trees.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the centre said: ‘Following the closure of Les Quennevais Sports Centre due to the storm damage, we are pleased to confirm that the safety inspection of the roof has taken place today and we have been given the all clear to reopen the gym, studio and sports hall at Les Quennevais from 3pm today.
‘Some classes will be taking place this evening, available classes will be bookable on the Active app from 3pm.
‘The pool remains closed for the remainder of the day.
‘The centre, including the pools will be open as normal tomorrow, Thursday 19th January.
‘Thank you for your patience and understanding.’
