Former Sushi restaurant co-owner pleads not guilty to grave and criminal assault charges

A FORMER co-owner of the now-closed Shinzo restaurant in St Aubin has pleaded not guilty to two grave and criminal assault charges.

Gavin Roberts (43), who has been in custody since 31 October, appeared in the Royal Court yesterday via video link to enter the pleas.

A directions hearing will now take place on 27 February followed by a three-day trial in June. Mr Roberts was remanded in custody yesterday.

Shinzo, which specialised in sushi, steak and cocktails, opened in 2020 and closed in the spring of this year.
