PARTS of Pier Road have reopened following the major explosion at the Haut Du Mont site which claimed the lives of at least seven Islanders.
The cordon around the site has been made smaller following an assessment by States police, including:
- Pier Road up to and including the junction of South Hill, giving access to Pier Road car park.
- South Hill, giving access to Fort Regent and La Petite Ecole nursery.
States police said the section of Pier Road closest to Saturday morning’s deadly blast would remain closed.
